How to Duplicate Redstone with Theurgy in Reclamation
Theurgy gives us a way to duplicate redstone using iron, crops, water, sal ammoniac, and fuel.
This method is more new-world friendly than the alternative route, because it does not require purified gold. It is however a little complex. You need to duplicate Common Other Minerals first and then duplicate Redstone Sulfur.
What you need
To start duplicating redstone, you will need:
- 2 Redstone Dust
- Iron, as much as you want to convert into redstone
- Wheat, crops, or sugar
- Water
- Sal Ammoniac
- Fuel
- Liquefaction Cauldron
- Fermentation Vat
- Reformation Pedestals
Step 1: Make Redstone Sulfur
Place 2 Redstone Dust and Sal Ammoniac into the Liquefaction Cauldron.
This gives you Redstone Sulfur.
Step 2: Make Iron Sulfur
Do the same thing with iron.
Place Iron and Sal Ammoniac into the Liquefaction Cauldron.
This gives you Iron Sulfur.
Iron will be the material we use to create more redstone later, so you can prepare as much Iron Sulfur as you want, depending on how much redstone you need.
Step 3: Make 1 Common Other Mineral
Now place Redstone Sulfur, wheat/crops/sugar, and water into the Fermentation Vat.
This produces Common Other Minerals.
We will use this 1 Common Other Mineral as our source to duplicate it into many Common Other Minerals.
Step 4: Turn Iron Sulfur into Common Metals
Next, place Iron Sulfur, wheat/crops/sugar, and water into the Fermentation Vat.
This produces Common Metals.
Now we have two matching Theurgy category materials:
- Common Other Mineral
- Common Metals
Step 5: Duplicate Common Metals into Common Other Minerals
Place the Common Other Mineral on the Reformation Target Pedestal.
Then place the Common Metals on the Reformation Source Pedestal.
This allows you to duplicate Common Other Minerals by using Common Metals.
In practice, this means your iron is now being converted into the category needed for redstone duplication.
Make sure you have enough mercury shards on your Mercury Catalyst
Step 6: Duplicate Redstone Sulfur
Now place Redstone Sulfur on the Reformation Target Pedestal.
Place the Common Other Minerals on the Source Pedestal.
This duplicates Redstone Sulfur.
At this point, you can continue producing more Redstone Sulfur as long as you have the required materials.
Final Step: Turn Redstone Sulfur into Redstone
Once you have duplicated enough Redstone Sulfur, place it into the Incubator with the necessary ingredients around it (mineral salts, mercury shards).
The Incubator will turn the Redstone Sulfur back into regular Redstone.
And that is the full loop: you use Theurgy to turn iron into the material category needed to duplicate redstone, then process the duplicated Redstone Sulfur into usable redstone.
Note
There is another method that involves purified gold, but this version is better for a newer world because it relies on iron instead.
